Name: Jennifer Berdon on May 24, 2003State: HICountry: USComments: Yes, I just want to add to this and say that the mother of my Grandchildren will not let us see them. We have not hurt them in any way. The mother and my son are having problems and my son is now incarcerated. We have helped her with one of the children from birth and we have let her come to live with us because she was having problems with her family. We were very open to her and then suddenly she took off with the child and we have not been able to see them for 4 years now. We have called her and asked her very nicely if we can see them for just the weekend. she will not allow us to see them. This really hurts us and the child as well.Flag

Name: Paula Olson on Jun 9, 2003State: AZCountry: USComments: My son and his wife are denying me visitation with my 3+ month old grandson, because I won't give them a stroller & baby swing that were purchased at the time of the baby's birth. I won't give them these items because they're using crystal meth and have pawned everything of value I've given them. I've reported them to CPS and they will do nothing as "drug use by the parents isn't reason for removing a child from the home." So because I won't give them material things until they straighten up, they're denying me visitation with my grandson. What can I doFlag

Name: Shelia Allen on Jul 31, 2003State: TNCountry: USComments: I have a new granddaughter named Grace. She is almost 2 months old. Her mother, my daughter-in-law, has never liked me and has literally divided our whole family. My son did not speak to me for over 2 years because this girl did not want him to have anything to do with his family. This past Christmas was the first one in 3 years that they came and shared the holiday with us. Now my new granddaughter is here and I am being denied time with her. Is there anything I can do about thisFlag

Name: Jamie Hines on Oct 23, 2003State: TXCountry: USComments: i dont think that grandparent should have any legal rights to their grandchildren. all of you grandparent visitation activists are ripping apart families and forcing parents to forfeit their 14th amendment rights to rear their children without 3rd party interference. which is not only unconstitutional but morally wrong. i hate you all and hope all rot in hell and get eaten by sharks.Flag

Name: Sharon Kuropatwa on Nov 4, 2003State: NCCountry: USComments: I am being denied any overnight visits with the grandchild that I practically raised for 8 years. She lived with me for 4 years. She now lives with her father. I am not allowed to have her overnight because he doesn't want her overnight because she may see her mom. He is denying visitation to my daughter eventhough a court ordered her visitation every other weekend. He is taking the law into his own hands. I need to know what I can do.Flag

Name: Elizabeth Wilson on Nov 11, 2003State: KYCountry: USComments: My only son became a father during his teens. Both sets of parents had to raise the child. We paid half of insurance & child care, which is more than they would have obtained through child support. When the teenagers broke up, the maternal side began trying to decrease time, shortly thereafter my son was killed in a car accident. Now we are in court to obtain visitation rights. Our case comes up Nov. 19, 2003.Flag

Name: Karen & Randall Parker on Jun 8, 2004State: GACountry: USComments: we need help we raised our grandchildren like they were our very own children from birth to four years of age in our household, there are three children, once we made the divorced mother seek employeement ant to be responsible and made her move into a home provided by us she moved elsewhere and is tormenting the babies by refusing them any visit time with those who are just as much as parents to them as their own mother who was in action and care far much less a parent. period. Please help we cannot afford an attorney because we spent all and then some raising the children and providing support for the mother who does not consider her blessings and helping hands and is now vindictively making the children pay as she is making us pay. PLEASE HELP USFlag
