The canal remains in a state of neglect that ignores the needs of everyone who walks these paths daily. I am still pushing for a dedicated maintenance crew despite the lack of any clear response from the authorities. This is dragging on far longer than I hoped but I am not walking away from the mess they have allowed to grow.

USED to be a lovely place for a walk but now i wouldnt go near it after dark. fix it!!!

Just put a warden on it. Simple. Stop passing the buck between the council and waterways ireland.
Finally someone said it. The canal is part of our history and we are letting it rot.
Its a disgrace the state of the canal lately. Full of cans and rubbish everywhere. needs a permanent crew to clean it up daily.

The weeds and the litter are just getting worse every single year. Do something before it is ruined for good.
