It is unsafe for grain trucks not to be considered as non commercial vehicles as it leads to a potential hazard by untrained or DISQUALIFIED drivers and allows a lethal loophole to allow rejected CDL holders to operate the same deadly equipment as they would if they were driving the same type and style of vehicles they were disqualified from operating. Grain haulers has the tendency to think they are above the law by operating poorly maintained equipment on our highways that has the exact same potential to kill and pose a danger to the public as with other classified Commercial Motor Vehicles. The only exemption to this rule is if they operate these vehicles on their own private properties without using public highways only and not transporting no more than 5 miles to cross such highways to their private grain bins ONLY! Grain trucks should be subjected to the same scrutiny in regards to public safety as with any other Commercial Motor Vehicle and SHOULD NOT BE EXEMPTED!
