Name: Amjad Doumani on Aug 8, 2007Comments: Public Art is a must for any city or town to have a life. This art must be from it's own people. Especially people whose voice is normally shut out from the mainstream discourse. I will go one step further in that public art should be free for all to enjoy and not beholden to bottom line intere$t$. Thank you Jerry.Flag

Name: Joshua Jones on Aug 14, 2007Comments: This will eliminate a lot of violence and graffiti in non legal spots. Putting a legal wall will give people an outlet to let the city know there talents. Not shunned by the government. When they feel that they cant go anywhere to paint. It leads them to rebel and paint in places where they shouldnt. I remember when I painted, I said to myself if there was a place to put a piece that was legal, I would be there. They had given us no where to run, or express ourselves. This misunderstanding that we were in a gang. I laughed at that. I was your average high school football player that had talents in art. Graffiti was one of them. Why notFlag

I hope the powers that be can see this as a progressive and creative opportunity to enhance the lanscape and culture of the Glass City. We boast so much about our strong support of the development of the arts, let this be another symbol of why this city is such a great place to reside and visit.Flag

Name: Nicholas Simon on Aug 23, 2007Comments: hell ya about time! Gray's proposal would require interested artists to obtain a buskers license from the county, essentially making them street performers who can be regulated by city officialsregulatedI think it would be reall cool if they put wall that were like 10ft tall 30ft long in different city parks in toledo so there was more than one, and it would get alot of foot trafic, and admierors. however haveing one not in the parks, with lights would be cool so people could paint at night.Flag
