    Comments: Closing Lewisham Hospital will be detrimental to local residents, especially those who are disbled and have poor mobility. They might prefer not to seek help. With the 111 service starting, it is likely that A&E activity will increase, and we will need all the hospital services.

    Comments: I agree with the above statements. I am a Lewisham resident and work as a GP in Southwark - this will certainly have an impact on services in Southwark as Kings College Hospital is a lot more convenient for Lewisham residents than Woolwich.

    Comments: As a GP in Lewisham and Medical Director I wholeheartedly agree with the contents of this petition and the clear and significant arguments put forward. The people of Lewisham should not be made to pay for financial problems in another Healthcare Trust. The demographics and health inequality data clearly demonstrate that this population will be least able to adapt to this change and health inequaltities will widen. The Conservative party pledged that the NHS would be safe in their hands - it clearly isn't and the country needs to wake up and see the destruction of public healthcare in the UK.

Lewisham also provides excellent training for both undergraduate mediva;l students cfrom Kings College London and postgraduate doctors through the London Deanery and closing services will adversely affect the this training.

    Comments: As a Southwark GP and a Lewisham resident myself, colleagues and many friends are dismayed that a solvent sucessful hopsital not part of SLHT is subject to these proposals. this will i am sure result in reduced qualiy of care to South London residents. IF changes are made, i am concerned that many patients wil not be able to travel to Wollwich for Emergency or Maternity care please do not go ahead with these changes to Lewisham Hospital
