Name: L Lapp on Jul 30, 2012Comments: Eight years of poor service from this company. I rely on it for work and have had to give up one very good job because of their poor service. Unfortunately there is not another ISP option for me.Cannot wait until the day I have other options. And please, DO NOT ask me what the weather is like in my area and tell me that is why my service is poor! Really?!?! Eight years of bad weather? I think not.Flag

Name: Lisa Roberts on Jul 30, 2012Comments: Substandard connection, expensive, won't let me out of contract even though I HAVE to move...no choice. I'm not paying for a service I can't use 80% of the time. I was a returning customer because the other ISP was crap too...burned twice and never again. Not paying their cancellation fee either. Way I see it, they owe ME money for the times I couldn't use it!!!Flag

Name: Leslie McBain on Jul 30, 2012Comments: This service provider xplornet gives speeds on a good day just above dial up. They get you in the contract with these 2 words "up to" thats their saving grace to say well in the contract is says you can get up you.. Anytime I have had issues they would blame it on my settings and get me to change a bunch of things around that did not make any difference, but it would magically right itself. I was told that I could sign up for their 4 g service, but when asked if I could just try it out first was told no you need to sign a contract. Seems to me if you are using the same tower the speeds are not magically going to get better. I am disabled and rely a lot on my computer and I am paying fees above and beyond what it should cost. My doctors office uses xplornet and have complained and have to move to an area that delivers faster speeds because running a doctors office with speeds where you don't have enough power to print things for patients. To watch a short video on Utube is a joke. I wouldn't even try Net flicks. It even buffers sometimes leaving a status on facebook. They have a monopoly and they are taking advantage of those who cannot get any other internet service. I think it's time they looked after their customers for a change. I know, foreign concept. All they care about is the $$$$.Flag

Comments: My family and I live in the Laurentians, in a rural area outside of St-Adolphe d'Howard, Quebec; satellite internet being the only "high-speed" option. We signed a contract with Xplornet a few years ago. For 3 years we were stuck paying 90$ a month for dial-up speeds. Now we've managed to wiggle it down a few dozen dollars a month but still for the same horrid service. Xplornet needs to die.Flag -

Name: Anonymous on Sep 3, 2012Comments: I have read all the negative comments and I agree. Since I went on the Advantage package in early January, it sometimes takes me 2 to 4 minutes to go from one page to another when reading a newspaper. I have had their service people here monthly and they keep saying the tower has to be upgraded that I draw from> I am paying high speed prices for dial up and the techy they sent agreed. He said to keep calling them every couple of days to complain which I have been doing but that takes time and frustration as does the speed I am stuck with for $66. month. I cannot get out of my contract and cannot have high speed although paying for it. Please do something about it.Flag
