Gov. Charlie Crist,

    On Dec. 19th 2008, according to our Constitution and State Statutes, a "Vacancy in Office" occurred for Levy County Commission District 1&3 for the term of 2008-2012. Because the elected Candidates failed to qualify by not having their Commissions filed with the Secretary of State within the given time frame of 30 days from start of the term they were elected to, which was Nov. 18th 2008. And according to our Constitution and State Statues, we are guaranteed an election in 2010 to fill the remainder of the terms because the vacancies occurred with 28 months or longer remaining in the terms. Our State Statues also leaves the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of the Office you hold, to "Declare Vacant" these Offices based on their failure to qualify, by signing an Executive Order stating these facts. We hear your argument of their suspensions but do not buy it. Because we know according to State Statues and our Courts your suspension ended when the term it was given in ended, which was Nov. 17th 2008. Your amended suspensions dated Mar. 18th 2010 to cover the 2008-2010 term is an insult to our intelligence, because we know there are no Office Holders to suspend because the elected candidates failed to qualify, thus they were never Office Holders for this term. These Offices are Vacant.

In closing, we all as voters of this State gave an oath that we will support, protect, and defend the Constitution and Government of the United States and of the State of Florida. And you as Office Holder gave an oath that you will well and faithfully perform the duties of your Office. So help you God. We the PEOPLE of Levy County and the State of Florida compel you our Governor Charlie Crist, to honor us The People of Florida with the powers vested in your Office, to secure the Liberties, Rights, and Freedoms given by our Constitution and Statues by "Declaring Vacant" these Offices by Executive Order and allow us the voters to choose our representation by election in 2010 to fill the remainder of the term of these Offices. Please do not delay.
