The Pacific Palisades community has experienced growing energy usage, which may require the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) to construct an additional power station and transmission lines into the neighborhood in order to keep up with peak daytime energy demand. POWER STATION & TRANSMISSION LINES Construction of the proposed power station is likely to result in significant traffic disruptions in the neighborhood, possible health risks from high voltage electromagnetic frequency (EMF), increased risk of explosions and fire -- and a rise in carbon emissions contributing to greenhouse gas pollution and climate change.
