In 2009 Google launched Google Timeline, an extremely useful search option that allowed for in-depth chronological research. Timeline was greatly appreciated by the user community for its user-friendliness, reliability and unprecedented access to chronologically organized data. Despite its universal likeness, for unclear reasons and to the great chagrin of historians, researchers, and everyone else, Google decided to bury Timeline in 2011. It's been 2 years and no clear replacement came about. Timeline is not only deeply missed but sorely needed to improve information access. It is time to bring it back. Please join our petition.
