Google made millions of internet voices cry out, though their silence will only come when July 1, 2013 rolls around and Google Reader is destroyed. For years, netizens have practically lived on Google Reader, relying on its stable and powerful interface for the delivery of the news and updates that make the web a dynamic and interesting medium of communication. So it puzzled these fanatically loyal users that Google decided to kill one of its best services. The decision to remove a fervently-loved product stands in stark contrast to certain other products that Google has heavily invested in and even pushed at its users, like Google+, Buzz, Wave, and more. And even though Google is positioning G+ to be a major platform is no secret that Google's social network is foundering from lack of use or interest. Here's where a solution comes in: keep Google Reader alive and simply integrate it into G+. If it hasn't already done so, Google could easily put Reader into a tab on G+, integrate a +1 and sharing system into the Reader interface, and just let people do what they've always done on Reader. In one fell swoop, Google would drive huge swaths of traffic through its platform, and make both products feed the other's purpose. I know that kind of move would make me use G+ a whole lot more. Who else would?
