Pakistan is today faced with the rehabilitation and resettlement of over 3 million internally displaced persons from the areas where military operation against the militants is going on on full scale and the inhabitants are forced to leave their homes to live in peace outside the battle grounds. It is strongly urged that All humanitarian aid for the IDPs MUST be routed through the United Nations and other internationally recognized agencies ONLY to ensure it is well spent and well accounted for. We appeal to ALL member countries of the United Nations to come forward and extend aid from their government treasury and/or private donors as fast as possible. Any delay could agitate the IDPs and help the militants to exploit the deteriorating situation to their advantage.
