Corning Community College canceled a planned appearance by gay porn star Conner Habib because of his involvement in the adult film industry. College president Katherine Douglas told members of Equal, a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender student group, she was canceling Habib's scheduled "Sex Week" talk. Douglas said she didn't want gay rights to be linked to pornography. In a statement “Mr. Habib's celebrity status as an adult film star is inconsistent with the educational theme of this program,” Bill Little, the college executive director of the office of institutional advancement. In a statement Conner Habib made himself, he stated "Then I was informed that administrators contacted a local hotel and local businesses to make sure I wouldn't be coming to town, that a student was pulled aside and told not to give direct comments to the press, that the president wanted to schedule her own talk to tell students about why she canceled my appearance, and that if I were to appear in the town of Corning, students were not to attend my lecture." President Katherine Douglas should be immediately removed of her position as Corning Community College President. These actions are wrong, and should not exist in any college! As a college President, Katherine should have presented herself more professionally than this.
