A majority of independent gold miners stake claims of raw land and rip it apart on a 'hunch'. They use no science and go by feeling. The first step they take is to strip down the land since they have to get down a good 8-15 feet to possibly find gold.

Here's the problem -

A) They do not dig Test Holes and choose to 'get a feeling' on where the gold is. In the long run, Test Holes are cheap to run.

B) They rip out earth and trees with no re-planting.

C) Once the site is raped, they simply leave and move on.

Sign this petition to -

1) Require all gold and mineral sites to dig Test Holes before digging up the land! 

2) Require all gold miners to put the land back to it's natural state through refilling and re-plantation.
