Comments: we definatley need an anti-stigma campaign. only recently some friends of mine, who are well educated careing people, they support several charities for cancer and child care, showed their total ignorence on mental health issues, when they saw someone in the street who was behaving oddly and taking to themsevles, they stated that all people like that should be lnstitutions not in the community!!!

Comments: There can't be a man, woman or child in the UK who is not affected by mental ill health at some point in our lives. So, why perpetuate the myth that it's something seedy shameful and dirty? Come clean. Get honest about the state of anxiety and fear in all our lives. With statistics like "1 in 4" ... this is not about someone else but it's about you and it's about me. Govt must allow communities to OWN the problem rather than cover it up and send it underground. Building shared-understanding requires honestly....so that starts with you and with me! We Brits hide our emotions and we also pass on the responsibility for our actions AND we seek "simple" pill-like solutions....and that is all part of the perpetuation problem.

Comments: I am keen that Wales has its own Mental Health anti-stigma campaign. All too often we all think that mental ill-health is something that happens to someone else ....it is just as disabling and challenging to live with mental distress as it is to live with many debilitating physical conditions. We all want to be valued and included for who we are .....is that too much to ask ?
