If you are opposed to this park, please direct your comments to City Hall, specifically Andrew MacPherson or Julie Michaud. Thank you.Flag

We have been utilization both of the other off lesh parks which are 20-30 minutes away. We live in Byron and this park is in my "back yard" and I would use it on an almost daily basis.Flag

They develop a community of responsible dog owners and produce well-socialized dogs. They are quiet and well-managed and very necessary for any community. They increase the value of the community by providing a very necessary service.Flag

Name: Gretchen Ball on Mar 10, 2006State:Country: CAComments: Off leash parks are great for many reasons and are represented on the east side of London. There's an opportunity to provide an off leash park at this location, the west side of London, and should be considered a viable option. Thank you, Gretchen BallFlag

There should be such a park in every residential area of london.Flag

Name: Joyce Groves on Mar 11, 2006State:Country: CAComments: Help! The Stoney Greek site is so popular that at peak times the cars have to wait for someone to exit before they can enter. Dog owners drive from Byron and beyond in order to enjoy the park. A park in Byron is urgently needed for South West London and would help to relieve the congestion at Stoney Creek. Are the dogs and owners happy about an off-leash park Ecstatic would be a better word! Do they stoop and scoop Yes, very well. The number of bins and times of pick-up of the garbage had to be increased because owners did such a good job. [Peer pressure helps!] Are the parks perfect No, but when a problem does occur, the LDOA takes it seriously and works with community agencies toward a solution.Flag

Name: Karen Lalancette on Mar 14, 2006State:Country: CAComments: I live in Bryon and I am a responsible pet owner. We need an area to run and socialize our dog's so they can continue to be responsible member's of our society also. We are permitted to own 3 dog's per household but we have no park to run our dog's off leash. We respect the on leash area's for people that might be frightened by dog's so let's give them somewhere to run that has no impact on people that do not own dog's or just do not like dog's.Flag

Name: Laurie Forster on Mar 15, 2006State:Country:Comments: I have been able to take advantage of the latest off leash park on Adelaide, and it has been a wonderful experience for my dogs'; however, it is an extremely long drive from the Southdale & Wonderland area. When I heard that there would be another park in the Byron area, this was wonderful news, now I am very angry that again, my "kids" will not have a place to play. These off leash parks allow my dogs to play with their frizbee or with other dogs, and we will not have to be critized by a non-dog owner, because they will be in a place, specially designed for the them, away from joggers, cyclists, etc. London is so far behind other cities when it comes to the off leash parks. This addition to the south end is crucial. Please ensure that this park happens. Thanks Laurie ForsterFlag

Name: Sharon Allen on Mar 16, 2006State:Country: CAComments: An off leash park in the Byron area would be wonderful. THere are many dogs in Byron and I am sure it will be made use of. I walk my dog twice a day, every day and he wuld also like the interaction and added exercise of a park. What better way to use wasted land that can't be used for anything else-and it will be kept clean, neat and free of weeds A very good move.Flag

Name: Inez Guemple on Mar 16, 2006State:Country: CAComments: The need for an off-leash park in the Byron area is long overdue and much needed. There are many, many dog owners who would appreciate having such a park in the area. As a matter of fact, London should seriously consider more of these parks where dogs can be dogs and owners can keep their pets happy and excercised.Flag
