| 156 | Anonymous | The ONLY huge advantage of HDDVD currently is the price for the players. The price will fall for Blu-ray as well and thus negate the single advantage HDDVD had. Simply, the price (something that will change significantly in the not so distant future) is not something to plan the distant future on.
There are more bluray capable devices out there and the sales of software reflect this. Support both or support the leader, but don't prolong the war by switching exclusively to the format that was more likely to step down if the Paramount decision had not transpired. |

I own both formats and have invested good money for both formats. However I feel it is time for there to be only one format, to end customer confusion and help the industry move forward. HD-DVD can not survive on these two studios and by prolonging the war it only serves to hurt HD media in the long run. I call on both studios to please rethink your HD-DVD support and do the right thing go Blu. This is the format I prefer to purchase Universal, Dreamworks and Paramount HD titles.
