We the signed, are asking for National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman to step down from his post. Under his direction the League has had 3 lockouts, including losing an entire season in 2004 because the league amongst other things, wanted a salary cap. They eventually got what they wanted, League revenues have increased to over 3 billion dollars and yet once again Commissioner Bettman is going to his "GO TO" move ,of a lockout.
We find this unacceptable, we understand it takes two sides to make a deal but Commissioner Bettman has been the one constant in all of them.
We also do not appreciate him taking us fans for granted, saying such things as "they came back last time" in a recent interview, while discussing the upcoming lockout. We are insulted by these arrogant comments.
Our goal is to voice our displeasure in hoping we generate enough signatures to show the Commissioner we are not happy with the job he has been doing and that we deserve a better leader for this sport.
