Alistair AlmeidaI used to commute in the UK. British Rail had similar problems, overcrowding, late and cancelled trains. A couple of years back they introduced a rebate scheme to compensate for poor performance I recommend the same for GO. Also I agree with other Bronte commuters the gap between the 7:38 and the 8:13 is far too long in the rush our.

AnonymousDuring the week of Feb 11th, I have endured: three cancelled / delayed trains in the morning; and a train that was stuck on the tracks near Oakville for an hour in the evening. I have also had to help push snow bound cars out of the Bronte lot because no one bothered to plough after a storm. I have also watched two people fall on the ice because the lot has not been salted. At the same time, I note that fares will be increasing in Oakville. Increased fares and reduced service is customer abuse. GO needs to fix its problems now. Traffic will only increase as new homes are added in the spring. GO is also exposing itself to lawsuits by having an unsafe parking lot. Will we have to shoulder the inevitable costs of personal injury suits? How much should riders pay for incompetence at GO and the lack of foresight at the local government level?
Parbatty PersaudAs of late the train service was rediculous. Almost every other day the train is late, cancelled or having "ENGINE PROBLEMS". Get rid or fix the trains with engine problems

Jennifer SmithHORRIBLE SERVICE! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
Brian GlasspooleI am fed up of cancelled or late trains and having to pack onto overcrowded trains! Enough is enough.
Rob IvanyDuring the week of Feb 11th, the eastbound 7:28 train from Bronte station has been cancelled no less than 3 times...and the week isn't over yet. How the same train can be affected over and over is a mystery, yet it is completely indicative of the level of service I've come to expect. GO has shown me nothing but complete ineptitude and an egregious lack of contingency planning.

Nick GlasAfter 20 years of daily commuting and being a loyal GO customer , I am no longer using the GO Train. The service has become COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. It is extremely under capacity --given the population growth in the West End, we should have had an extra track build and several extra trains by now..... and sufficient seating for everyone. Instead we see a lack of backup trains and crews, so what should be a small or minor maintenace issue results is ENORMOUS impact on commuters, inculding DANGEROUS SAFETY issues -- a literal "house of cards" of cancelled, delayed, or repurposed trains -- stacks of people pressing and compressing on the platforms -- and then squeezing into the trains if they are fortunate enough. Whats next???? GO TRAIN RAGE??? A death of someone as they are pushed off of an overcrowded platform into an oncoming train by the mass of humanity behind them? Or out of a door as the train is moving?? Do we have to wait for that to happen, in order to affect changes?? THIS IS A POLITICAL FUNDING ISSUE - politicians take note - if you wish to backup your hype about being "green", this is a REAL ISSUE where you can put your money where your mouth is. MAYOR OF OAKVILLE - get going on better BUS SERVICE to and from Bronte to alleviate the traffic, parking and people congestion. And please use your influence with GO Transit.... a rate increase is likely required to help fund capacity, spare trains/crews, and more frequent GO service. GO's lame response is "we are getting longer trains" ... well, TOO LITTLE AND TOO LATE !!!!!!!
AnonymousThis is really very tiring, reaching late at home or at work 2 to 3 times a week and not getting any refund. Jan 31, 2008- 17:15 Georgtown train delayed 40 minutes but no refund. Feb 7, 2008 - 7:50 Georgetown train delayed 50 minutes but no refund. Since Feb 11 to Feb 13- 17:45 Georgetown train delaying 30 to 35 minutes in reaching Brampton, but no refund.
michella foundosI can't remember the last time the GO train was actually on Time. It is very frusterating being late to work. This does not sit well with my employer as i am consistantly late. This does not reflect well on me.

Ed VThis morning marks 6 days in a row that my usual train has been late or cancelled. I am paid by the hour so arriving to work late causes me to lose income or work extra hours to make up for lost time. Patience is wearing thin among commuters when 2 or 3 train loads of people are waiting for the next train to arrive only to see it already full. Pushing and shoving are becoming the norm, which can be quite scary, not to mention dangerous, for expecting mothers and those travelling with children. I witnessed an expecting mother break down in tears because of this, which I blame on Go Transit for the stress caused by the poor train service. Someone senior at GO should lose their job over this, and until we get solutions instead of excuses, rebates are in order.
Stephen ProkopchukLakeshore line is either delayed or overcrowded .. I'd rather sit in traffic by myself in my car for the same amount of time.
Geoff van HartenThe poor level of service provided by GO Transit makes it very tempting to drive to work. This is not something that should be encouraged if the government is serious about fighting global warming.

Iain SmithThe 50% rebate should apply to cancelled trains as well. Go could just cancel the train outright and the next available train may not be 20 minutes late. What if your 5:00 train shows up and they can't open the doors? They just send in the 5:30 train and it's not going to be 20 minutes late, just overcrowded.
Sheila HobeckI have been late more times in the past two weeks than I have been on time to get to work. I've had it. The service is not just bad, it is terrible. It costs companies time and money, and makes for an increasingly longer day for families.
AnonymousI'm on the Barrie line and am finding that the congestion is getting unbearable and am now considering other options to commute downtown

KalpeshI would like to add that on few location like brampton downtown we need car parking facilities of about 100 Cars. We have to give extra time in order to get parking. They can even reduce the price of sure spot
Josephine GalvezMorning trains are always either delayed or cancelled. It always screwed up my schedules.

AnonymousAlso, they changed our Lakeshore West schedule in peak morning from 8:02 to 8:07 for no apparent reason . When the train showed up on time (50% of the time) we could make it into work by 9:00. Since Xmas the 8:07 is late (75% of the time) and I get to work at 9:30. The previous train at 7:30 is so packed you can't even find room to stand. Very annoyed about the so called improvements.

AnonymousI want GO to take accountability for these delays. Pawning it off on CN is no excuse. GO patrons are paying high fees for this service. If CN cannot handle the maintenance then GO should get somebody else. I am getting sick and tired of GO shrugging off this dismal performance and saying it's not their fault.
