AnonymousIf the Go Train are not able to run by the schedule why have a schedule at all? Rose

Laura BartonI am an infrequant GO train user and I only use it when I stay over at my boyfriends house. I have taken it 5 times in the past month and its been at least 10 minutes late each time. Terrible!
AnonymousI totally agree as I used to take GO and very fed up and had to change the job where I can drive. Thanks to Eales who presented-atleast you tried.
Anonymousgood attempt Ealese...we've all got your back on this!
AnonymousI just don't understand why it's always delayed. Toronto is a modern city, but it's transportation system doesn't seem to reflect that point. Increasing demand, not world class service, can NEVER equals to price increase.

AnonymousThis is disgraceful. The weather is not an excuse, it's an easy way out. Being late once or twice here and there every few months is acceptable but more than once in a month is not! Why is europe and montreal much better and on-time with their trains? What are they doing that we could do? Where is your lack of committment to your customers?
Keith ChanAs understanding as I can be, Go Train may have worked hard to try to keep away from delays, especially due to the horrible winter conditions we have this year in GTA. But given their mediocre performance, I totally do not understand why they are increasing their fares. This fare increase they are implementing soon makes all the promotion about being part of the revolution to "Go Green" ironic. Maybe instead of thinking of ways to balance the books, why not spend time to think of ways to improve? No more excuses like, "Crash by CN at X station, cancelling all trains from there, passengers there, good luck in getting to work."
Charles AttardToday's GO board''s decision only shows that we still need to press on with this case which I support through my joining the petitioners' list.

AnonymousThe provice needs to buy CN and CP out and rent the tracks back to them. passenger transport is not thier priority therefore they don't care about delays.

AnonymousThe frequency of issues on GO is unacceptable. This week I took the train twice....first train had a car in which the doors would not open suddenly, so people who wanted to get off couldn't, unless they went to another car...reason "we don't know". Today, I took an express train, that stopped at every red light and sat outside union for a few minutes....would have been faster to take the regular train. It's just way too unpredictable.

Darryl MinardI question GO's official statistics about the percentage of trains that are on-time. 1. Are these stats audited by an outside party? 2. Do these stats count each stop in the trip, or only the start and end points? 3. Are these stats weighted according to traffic patterns? Mid-day on-time doesn't count as much as rush-hour on-time. 4. Is there a break-out for these stats? I suspect that the figures mask some very poor performance at specific stations.

Anonymousfire all government union workers, public services useless / worthless.
Patrick H. ForbesTrain 925 Today: 10 minutes late Yesterday: 5 minutes late Day before 5 minutes late Need I continue?
Patrick H. ForbesWhen my 920 is late, I need to wait 45 minutes for my next Whitby shuttle bus to get home. Not fun!
patrick H. ForbesIt really isn't nice when your new fangled engine shows up late. What gives with that?
patrick H. ForbesI understand trains can't pass each other, but backing them all up isn't a better idea.
patrick H. ForbesWhat's the deal with your CN guy's falling behind so badly? Are they not paid enough? Need new guy's? Better Management?
AnonymousI come in from R/Hill but am appauled by the lax attitude GO takes If I pay a premium to get there faster I expect to be compensated when delays are due to things in GO Transit's control! The number of people travelling and would be traveler is staggering if they would just make it more convenient and user friendly.

AnonymousThe first train leaving Milton to Union station on March 10th was late 20 minutes leaving Milton. Nothing was said as to what caused the delay. Did the crew forget to change the clock to DST?? Does the GO management aware of the delay? Also, this winter, specifically in the 1st train going to Union station, there is no heat or only half of the heat in some of the cars. The crew usually suggestss the passengers to move to the next car. How can this kind of things can go on and on. I can understand one-two days but should not be every other day or weeks.

Alison PiechI agree something has to be done about the level of service we get from GO, especially for the amount of money we pay each month. They're boasting about the increase in ridership; that's not because of the service they provide, it's because we can't afford to drive to Toronto everyday. We have no choice but to take GO Transit. If there was another service provider that we could use, we'd certainly see changes with respect to how GO Transit treats their customers and the level of service they'd provide to us.
Elvira TioHi I'm a patron from the Clarkson GO station, I commend the small efforts made by GO to fulfill some of the required services needed for effective and alternative transportation to and from work, etc. However, the government as well as GO cannot stop at half mass(increasing to 6 trains). Its not enough to just accept this and numerous excuses, and let real solutions just die. Increasing costs are acceptable yet there has to be real results. We pay the taxes for the Minister to use wisely, so far, there has only been band aid solutions, this is not what we need, we(as patrons) have to be treated fairly while we have to deal with late, cancelled, no parking, over crowded trains the list can go on. We need a solution that we all as providers and users can solve and live with. The first step, I would like, is to have some sort of grace period to allow for some breathing space. The GO may or may not know that not only have we lost time, some of us have even lost some income overall. To raise the cost to travel at this point would be bullying the vulnerable to dish out whatever it takes, no matter how it effects our lives. Please be sensitive to this petition-we would only mean well.

Luka BasanovicGO Transit runs 180 train trips and 1,430 bus trips daily, carrying about 190,000 passengers on a typical weekday — 160,000 on the trains and 30,000 by bus.

GoSucksScrew you Go Transit.
AnonymousI like the 50% rebate idea. After all, as customers we're paying to be at our destinations according to the times on their schedules. We pay them to be there on time, not 30 minutes late. If they can't keep their end of the deal, then we shouldn't either.

Mike SewellI find the response by GO to this petition to be completely ridiculous. This rebate is meant to encourage them to improve performance. By saying in order to offer the rebate they would have to raise prices, they're admitting that they have no plans to avoid the delays.
