Aloha Parents, Friends and Family of Lahaina Intermediate School Students. We have created this petition in an effort to return the Wednesday school day to a 1:15 dismissal. Many families were caught off guard regarding the decision to change the dismissal and we were not given the opportunity to voice our concerns or give our input as to why this is NOT A GOOD IDEA for our keiki. Hence, we humbly ask that you support this petition as a door of communication that should be open between the families and the administrators. Our children should have as much learning time as possible and we believe that a 1:15 dismissal gives our teachers ample time for planning and collaborating. Likewise, we are families are willing to support the teachers in other ways so that they are able to best educate our keiki without shortening their days in the learning enviroment.
