Griswold Public Schools has made another change without parent involvement. (Remember looping?) The administrators have decided to use the block schedule format in the middle school now. Students will have 80 minute classes. They will have English and Math classes everyday. They will have Social Studies and Science classes every OTHER day. Social Studies and Science will have far less time. Many students, parents, and teachers using block schedule at the high school do not like it. They say it has many flaws. Much research states that it has a great deal of flaws and it is definitely not good for middle school students. If you want to be involved in your child's education, and you prefer to have your middle school child follow a similar schedule to the 2012-2013 school year, please sign this petition.
