Name: Terry Antonelli on Feb 24, 2010Comments: I have spent so much money on Global Tel Link to be able to talk to my Husband and have lost money on calls and never can get a real person to talk to on the phone with any problems. It is so unfair that they charge so much money and keep on cutting in all the time with this call may be recorded when we are paying so much for the call. All the money they make, they should be able to make a payment plan for people to set up a monthly charge like a regular phone so they can talk to their love ones more. It is so hard not being able to talk to my Husband more and we end up so sad over it. They should start caring about us.Flag

Name: Karen Flutter on Feb 25, 2010Comments: The service fee $5 for a $25 phone credit is outrageous. Poor customer service, the phone system is inadequate to handle the calls- this is what the representatives have told me, they give out false information. The families of the inmates desrve better treatment and competitive prices.Flag

Name: Cynthia LoMonaco on Feb 25, 2010Comments: I had to call the VP of Consumer Services just to get my complaint heard. This is unacceptable. When she finally forced someone to return my call they listed me all kinds of rules, charges and if the sun rises just right when it comes to the biling. They also charge a phone service and do not provide a transcript of calls received and the costs of those calls. This is a monopoly with corrupt business practices and an investigation should be done immediatelyFlag

Name: Dorothy Stevens on Feb 25, 2010Comments: Inmates have no money so the families are the ones who suffer because they will pay for the phone calls even though they cannot afford to. The cost of these phone calls are unnautrually high, It`s just another way of exploiting poor people.Flag

Name: Joanna Marinova on Feb 25, 2010Comments: Their service is terrible. phone calls are supposed to last 20 minutes (not sure why other than it charges you a connection charge each time) but sometimes cut off after 10, not to mention lack of service and how SLOW and crappy it is overall. we should have choices. Aren't monoploies illegal?Flag

Name: Isabel Delgado on Feb 28, 2010Comments: In the past I never had problems with my husband calling me collect, but after Global Tel Link gained that exclusive contract to have all collect calls routed through Global Tel Link it has been nothing but problematic. It's absolutely unfair, especially when I pay my bill on time.Flag

Name: Michael Riggs on Feb 28, 2010Comments: iT IS an illegal monopoly and extortion on private citixens for TEL LINK to block or charge double rates to public consumers of other telephone companies. Their practices amount to extortion to join their company or recieve exhorbanant rates to families.Flag

Name: Camille Bluestein on Mar 1, 2010Comments: Let's face it. The poor are filling up our prisons, and it is the families and loved ones of these inmates who have to pay these outrageous bills. The part that really irritates me is when they let me know that my account is out of money when my loved one is on the line. If I use me credit card to prepay, they charge me even more. I buy online all the time and don't get charged to use my credit card.Flag
