Name: Beverly Yeckes on Jul 17, 2005State: PAComments: Gladwyne Lunch is the cornerstone of the Gladwyne community. It's uniqueness sets it apart from all others. Should Gladwyne Lunch be forced to close their doors, a piece of not only Gladwyne but Americana will be lost forever. I am sure other businesses in the area will be hurt by it's loss. I for one shop in the area only because I frequent Gladwyne Lunch. I know others strongly feel the same.Flag

Name: Suzanne O'Brien on Jul 17, 2005State: NYComments: Since Gladwyne was a VERY quiet little village, with no traffic lights (no traffic!)or 4-way stops, when it was as common to see horses, racoons, possum, skunk, as cars on Conshohoken State Rd., there was always a lunch stand there, and it was always a great part of local lore - it was where Washington's troops got uniforms, where Revolutionary troops fed their horses, bought their cheesesteaks, mailed their letters - this was where you bought a cheesesteak AND talked about what your version of it's history was. A nail parlor is the absolute antithesis of Gladwyne's history, it's warmth, it's charm. I think I'll still eat hoagies outside of it, whayever it is...Flag

I do not wish to see the Gladwne lunch evicted for a spa. We have lived without such a frivolous business for all of these years and can do so in the future.Flag

I am totally opposed to it. The other business owner has pleanty of space on his second floor, the unoccupied other half of his building, or what about the empty dry cleaner spaceFlag
