Today's children are developing their own memories of this wonderful community meeting place which helps to give Gladwyne its special flavor. We certainly don't need a nail salon in its place.Flag

That is almost disgusting right on the corner there in this little town. I pray and hope that doesn't happen.Flag

Name: Jim Thornton on Jul 12, 2005State: PAComments: Only in America is it immoral but legal to allow a tenant to build a business for over 10 years and then legally steal the families business by simply refusing to renew a lease. Maybe the landlord would have a change of heart if a bunch of torch bearing citizens came late one night to treat the immoral, uncaring soul to a taste of the same medicine by taking the culprit down to the river and reviving the Boston Tea Party with the landlord playing the part of the tea.Flag

Name: Rev. Charlene Gaspar on Jul 12, 2005State: PAComments: The village and wider community of Gladwyne needs this lunch area, so appreciated and beloved by individuals and families alike. I served many years as pastor of Gladwyne UMC, just down the block, and witnessed the continual enjoyment of this great place by all ages. The salon/business next door, OMG, has changed the face of the village, both in abusive name (Oh My God) and in overflow cars parked up and down block on both sides. If the Gladwyne Lunch is taken over by owner of OMG or any such business it will erode the beauty of the community!Flag

Name: Ken And Nancy Davis on Jul 13, 2005State: PAComments: If, as reported to me, the Gladwyne Lunch is being forced out of business because of complaints from the OMG shop next door over some minor parking issue, then I think it is outrageous. These two historic properties have added great value to our Village, and we should do everything in our power to seek harmony and coexistence.Flag
