The Academy School District 20 in Colorado Springs, Colorado consists of 38 schools - 7 High Schools, 6 Middle Schools, 21 Elementary Schools, and 4 Charter Schools. Currently, the Internet home page for district school computers is set to http://www.asd20.org, the district website. This petition is concerning the matter of changing that homepage to http://www.givoogle.com - the Givoogle search engine. Givoogle is a search engine that raises money for charity with every search. How it works: Advertisers pay Givoogle for every 1000 people who see their banner ad. Then 100% of the proceeds, less operating costs not to exceed nine percent, are donated to the American Cancer Society. The goal of the American Cancer Society (ACS) is to prevent cancer, save lives, and diminish suffering from cancer. It is a nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer through research, education, advocacy and service. Givoogle was launched June 23, 2009 by Gaby Montero and Emerson Spartz, founders of GivesMeHope.com. In its first month, Givoogle raised $1,665.98. The target date of this change is October 25, 2009. Givoogle will provide monthly revenue reports measuring the district's impact on fundraising. This simple act of setting the district computer home pages to Givoogle will raise thousands of dollars to fight cancer. **NOTE: Your email address will not be released to the public**
