I'm writing this petition because I see the need for change. I'm not selling anything, neither do I work in politics, I'm a full time student and a hard working young man, wanting my ideas and dreams to be heard. I believe that if the youth are preoccupied, and utlize their time wisely, I think that there will be less crimes. We all were part of the youth community when we were growing up. Nonetheless, if we ( adults) play a part in the youth's lives, we can help make our communities a better place. As a father, a son, a uncle, I'm burned out of reading about the youth or watching the news about the youth because it's not a good sight or article. As a friend, I don't want to loose my kids, moreso; I don't want you to loose your kids to the streets, so lets give them a place where they can come and have fun, be educated, and showcase their talent(s). This petition was writing to gain information on how to retrive funds to build or remodel an youth center, starting in Fort Myers , Fl and maybe in other communities throughout the United States. The youth center will be a place where the youth can particiapate in weekly, and summer activities. The youth center will also create jobs. The youth center will have a 24 hour daycare, gym, basketball arena that seats 2500, and so much more. They say, " a mind is a terrible thing to waist", let's see if we can save some.
