Comments: We have, in the British populace, the skills to do all kinds of jobs. Therefore, any vacancies should be filled with the skillbase of the British people when it comes to British construction projects in Britain. Only bring in skilled foreign labour when we have exhausted the skills of the British workforce.

Comments: British workers pay taxes to benefit our country our wages contribute to the british economy and our children and communities. Foreign workers only put british workers on the dole and take there monies abroad to benefit them, how can this possibly make economic sense. These foreign workers are being employed on the cheap as was found out at the staythorpe new build, undercutting british workers by up to 1300 pounds per month, this is an infringement on our national agreement signed by the ECIA and the unions. I would welcome any comparrison of qualifications and skills against any european worker as i believe we the british worker are amongst the most highly skilled worker in the world.

Comments: The politicians do not seem to realise the strength of feeling the British public have on this subject but I think they are going to find out in a couple of months when we have our say. We must adopt a common sense approach to employment practises like they have in Germany, France, Spain and Italy and put UK workers at the front of the jobs queue.

Comments: In the current economic climate it is of vital importance that the goverment take a greater stand against outside contractors bringing in there own nationals to fulfill the vacancys that occur in the uk,it is not only occuring in the construction industry but in other areas of employment as well, during the forth comming election campaign the various partys will be calling on our suport to elect them,it is high time that the elected party stood behind the electorate and supported there fight for the right to seek gainful employment within there waters instead of foreign nationals.

Comments: my partner has worked on refineries and power stations for 15 years but has had to travel all over the country and work away from home for that length of time ,as there have been foreign workers taking the local jobs and there are 5 refineries and power stations within a 15 mile radias of where we live so british workers and locals should get the chance of the jobs if they have the skills needed for the posts

Comments: Its disgusting how the British Goverment has taken away our identity, Its robbed us of our birth right.Letting in foreigners to take our jobs, our homes, our dignity! For shame on this and past goverments. Politicians have ruined this country through greed. Let them fight our wars instead of these poor unemployed boys who sacrifice their lives.
