Sharla Beverly | I am an elementary school teacher in Granite School District. I have had 30 plus kids and other years 19. The one single factor that improves learning is smaller classes!
Anonymous | I feel that kids would be better taught if they had smaller classes with more attention.
Mary Murphy | My daughters class has over 30 kids in it currently and her fabulous teacher has struggled to make it work and to give the individual care some, all kids require. It is ridiculously large and for disagreeable reasons. Please change this.

| 508 | Francine Thompson | Please consider the needs of our children. Students get lost in large classes, teaches are overwhelmed and unable to reach each student.
We need smaller class sizes! |
Silvia Benassi | Legislators, please start looking at the cost for reducing the class size as a long term investment for our state/nation and not as a short term budget issue. It will pay us off!

Misty Herbstritt | Please make every effort to keep class sizes smaller. Smaller classes allow more time for teachers to spend with each student -- a crucial step in helping children identify problems and overcome them.
Anonymous | As a teacher, and a parent, we desperately need more funding to hire more teachers, not less to cut down on class sizes.

Anonymous | I really wish you would check out the schools back east such as in Indiana. They seem to have quality schools and teachers and the right amount of students in the classrooms.

Katie Maycock | They will have more hand on hand learning.
cindy nielsen | For the past two years, my daughter has had over 32 children in her class. Even if this number is acceptable at the start of the school year, it rises with children moving into our community. The teachers are over taxed, dividing their time between curriculum, grading and giving the children any attention in the classroom. We need to reduce the acceptable size in the classroom, to the mid-twenties at least. Utah has one of the lowest ratings for education, and some of the best teachers around. We rate poorly because the teachers are unable to provide attention to the children. PLEASE REDUCE CLASS SIZES!!!!!
Jason & Tracy Pierce | This is a no brainer! My children are good students, but many are not. It takes a lot of time to keep every student moving forward. Why not step up to the plate and make this task a priority? Our children are future taxpayers, why not help them excel now and thus reap the benefit of their success in future tax revenues?

Robbin Hale | We cannot continue to expect our children to thrive in the large classroom sizes we have now. Teachers cannot effectively teach and our children cannot learn.

Angie Shinkle | Smaller class sizes make for a better education for our kids. With less students the teachers have a greater opportunity to get to know each student individually and better assess their needs.

Audrey Jepsen | We are in desperate need of smaller class sizes, not only for our students to achieve, but also to keep high quality teachers at our schools. Please make this a priority!!!
Hollie Tilery | My chiidren cannot possibly gain a good education when there are too many students in a class. They deserve the same privelages as other schools whether we have money or not to send them to a private school.

Mitzi Netelbeek | 26+ kids in a kindergarten class are too many!!! Our school does not have the budget for smaller classes that this -- this is an outrage! Please, please please, lower class size.
