Name: Anonymous on Jul 21, 2012Comments: Yes, the facts do stand: other, similar devices, that have the same hardware, can support 'ice cream sandwich', they lied etc. All I have to say is this: HTC, you're making a bad business move by doing this. Sure, its one device but it also speaks multitude of actions as a company. First you turn on your original prospects to be a "customer based company" and then false promises to multiple devices etc. What does that say for other devices? What are you saying to people, with your actions and your lies? Remember: its the profits you gain and where do you get the support? Where do you get the money? How can you get anything in return if you don't offer anything? Don't think such a simple ploy will work to buy newer devices. People aren't stupid, they'll seek out support from xda for now, but what then? You're going to lose a major percentage of users and the cycle is going to repeat unless you change.Flag

Name: Zach Sherman on Jul 21, 2012Comments: It depresses me that they would say such a thing that it "currently provides the best experience". Ice Cream Sandwich is the next best thing out there, and the Desire HD can handle it. Even Jellybean would work flawlessly on it. I don't care if it's getting old, its got the specs. I believe HTC is making a mistake. That's why I'm signing this petition.Flag

Name: Claudio Lima on Jul 21, 2012Comments: Have preferred HTC phones ever since the HTC touch (wm6 with touch flo) but seems every htc phone must struggle for updates, the HTC hero, a true test for HTC droids barely made to ecláir. At least release whatever you've got done. Sent from a ICS running DHD.Flag

Comments: Cmon HTC this is slack programing on your behalf you know the hardware is easy capable of running it, running JellyBean is no problem for DHDFlag -

Name: Peter R. Allen on Jul 21, 2012Comments: I've owned several HTC devices and currently own the HTC Inspire running ICS and Jelly Bean. Both of which run extremely well on my device. I have no intention of upgrading when my device satisfies my needs. If HTC doesn't release an ICS update for the Desire HD/Inspire this will be the last HTC device I'll ever own. Make the call the choice is yours.Flag
