Prince, the incomparable music genius and man that sung "Baby I'm a Star", currently DOES NOT have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

It's not that he isn't deserving or the opportunity wasn't offered to him. According to Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame when presented the opportunity in the past, "he felt that it wasn’t the right time. However with his recent passing, fans around the world are in unanimous agreement that the time is right and the time is right, NOW!

So as a sign of support and solidarity we are asking you to sign and share this online petition on behalf of fans around the world simply to say, PRINCE DESERVE A STAR ON THE HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME - NOW!

Additionally; we respectfully request a waiver of the FIVE year waiting period required upon the death of a performer by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce; particularly when there are less deserving living performers who have stars now!

Required is $30,000 on hand, which goes to pay for the maintenance of the "star" plaque and production cost for the ceremony. To help amass the financial requirements the creators of this petition has created a custom PRINCE WALK OF FAME STAR POSTER to commemorate this well deserved honor.

Portions of the proceeds from the sale of this photographic replica of the Star and other commemorative memorabilia will be used to help cover the "on hand" requirements, application process and further aid to promote this fan-based cause.
