Parent's that raise their own children and decide to stay home should get bigger tax breaks depending on the income of the family. A family should not be forced to send both parent's to work and put their child in daycare because they don't have enough money for one of them to stay home with their child. Have a program like the low income help for daycare program. In the program if a family qualifies financially and they have decided for one parent to stay home offer a certain percent for a tax break at the end of the year. for example if a parent puts their child in daycare they might get 10% from the government to cover the cost (This is the program that takes place in daycares). bascially the parent staying at home is the one watching the child and this is the form of child care that these parents have chosen, They chose not to put their child with a stranger all year so these parents of qualifying incomes could get like a certain percentage say 5% tax break at the end of the year to help with finances from them staying home with children (The plan I would love to see come into place). It will be nice for people not to feel like they have to choose between family and paying the bills. If a parent wants to stay home with their child they should be able to do it. * This would be for families that have two parents one working and one not. I am not good with percentages these are just random numbers to give examples and to make the plan more understandable. I am a stay at home mom whose's boyfriend works many hours to pay the bills. A lot of his money goes into the tax system. We have witnessed the wonderful benefits of me staying home with our very bright 2 year old daughter.
