Other counties in the state of Nevada get up to three times the money per student than in Clark County. The average funding in Clark County, per student, is a little over $5,100, while every other county in the state get more per student, topping out at over $17,000 per student in Elko county. Yet, Clark County has the highest # of students with special education issues, students learning a second language, students living below the poverty level and other education hurdles than the rest of the counties combined. I am not asking to be funded like Elko county, just a little more equity for the largest district with the most students in Nevada. Thank you for signing my petition.
