As for Alexis, shame on her for not thinking about her fans. A shortened season would be more than enough to fix what the CW has done to many people's favorite show. She's being shelfish to want to destroy the hopes of her viewers and will most likely lose her audience.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 4, 2007Comments: I wasn't a fan of Gilmore Girls from the very beginning. To be honest, I always made fun of my mom for watching it. In 2004 I was hospitalized and stuck in our living room because that made it easier, not only for me, but for home health nurses to visit me. While out there, in my parents domain, no longer with my own tv remote privileges, I had no choice but to watch the ABC family reruns of GG with my mom. I quickly found myself enjoying it. The writing is very impressive for anything that the WB has ever given us. At least in my opinion, I never really rode the Buffy, Dawson or Smallville waves. They couldn't hold my interest. But, GG did and I found myself reminding my mom at 6pm to change to channel so we wouldn't miss the episode. Five days a week, this was our thing. A thing was definitely something that we had been lacking. At the time, I was with my boyfriend for about two years and quality time with my mom had definitely been something we didn't get enough of. She lost her movie partner in me and it was rare that I wasn't with my boyfriend, so, at least for one hour everyday, I was out there with her watching her program. I'd ask her about past episodes and eventually I got the DVD box sets and caught myself up to the new season that aired later that year. It's essentially a show that everyone can enjoy. My dad will be on the computer, but we catch him glancing and laughing at the show. Two of my guy cousins watch it with a group of the ladies in our family. And most recently, my brother glances over at my TV screen when I'm watching an episode. This can basically only mean one thing: It's the greatest show ever made. Okay, maybe that's a stretch, but it's definitely impressive far beyond what it could ever get credit for. It has a perfect blend of comedy, pop culture and drama to interest both sexes and any age group. And because of that, it just doesn't seem fair to end the series so abruptly. This isn't a plea to keep the show going forever. Or to even get to a point where people are thinking, "About time!" Looking at two major open ended storylines that need to be fulfilled, two episodes just doesn't seem like enough. So, instead, this is a plea for at least one more season and to guarantee that GG gets the perfect sendoff that it deserves; the perfect closure to the Luke and Lorelei, to Rory and her love life and education, and to all of the quirky Stars Hollow characters that have been adored by fans for several years.
