There are a number of Gigabyte LGA 1150 motherboards with voltage limitations in their BIOS. These voltage limitations do not allow for the optimal overclock of LGA 1150 CPUs, in specific, the Pentium G3258. According to Gigabyte support, Intel set these voltage limitations to "prevent overvoltage damage on this specific CPU." This is false, perhaps the voltage limitations were recommended by Intel, however, the G3258 itself does not carry any voltage limitations because LGA 1150 motherboards from other manufacturers do not have voltage limitations for the LGA 1150 CPUs, including the G3258.

The Pentium G3258 is an overclockable CPU, and thus it's meant to provide high performance at a budget. Limiting the voltages on Gigabyte motherboards will not allow users to achieve the best and safe overclock on their G3258 CPUs.

So Gigabyte, please update the BIOS, and remove the voltage limitations in your LGA 1150 motherboards.
