Comments: I was extremely heart sick when I read this....punching an octopus! Has most of Seattle gone cold on our highly intelligent animals? Are most going crazy? I applaud the diving shops that are refusing Mayer to come into their businesses. I would never want this diver to participate in any rescue occupation. I used to swing by and talk to the divers who used to photograph the pregnant octopus females. They were so gentle natured. I am shocked and deeply stressed and depressed over this inhumane treatment of an octopus. Shame on any diver who thinks this is OK to do and shame on the game warden who okayed such a horrific act!

Comments: I was horrified to see the octopus (possible a female with eggs!!) just thrown in the back of a truck with no regard for this animal's life! These highly intelligent animals need to be protected!

Comments: I strongly support establishing greater areas of protection for sea life. I also support totally eliminating any "harvesting " at all of gpo.

Comments: Like many in our local community in Washington, I'm surprised and disgusted by the Oct. 31 "hunt" at this park. Please stop harvest at this site, and consider limiting it statewide. Thank you.
