Name: Azmusiqisi on Nov 17, 2012Comments: Subject: Gharadagh Earthquake Dear UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, South Azerbaijan witnessed a devastating earthquake 97 days ago and nearly 110 villages were ruined completely. Massive loss and severe damages due to 6.2 Richter devastating earthquake reveals the critical economic deprivation in this region, a region which is enriched of mineral reserves as like 7% of the world`s copper reserve reside in this region. Unfortunately, the Iranian government`s Discrimination Policies against ethnic regions has caused them to be vulnerable and undeveloped. During the first days of the catastrophe, neglecting of the Iranian government in aiding to earthquake victims and region raised the Azerbaijani public feeling toward the Lack of government attention to help to Azerbaijani people being affected by such a catastrophe. As a result, the Iranian government has failed to fulfill the promises in sending First Aid and Emergency Treatment equipments and providing warm heating facilities and conex houses to shelter Azerbaijani earthquake victims and for this reason, the more human loss is being expected in a harsh mountainous snowy region. Mr. secretary, we kindly expect you consider this issue urgently by forming a committee to overcome this injustice and inhumane treatment of Iranian government as soon as possible. We truly appreciate your kind attention and cooperation in advance South Azerbaijan National Movement Social Network activists Tabriz 11/17/2012Flag
