I am petitioning to rid the system of lawyers fees for adoption and have the lawyers position taken over by mediators or social workers. Also have adoption fees limited to 2% of one's yearly salary. This way loving family who could not adopt before due to costs can actually have a chance at adoption. There are too many children in the system in need of permanent, loving families and there are loving families out there that want more than anything to adopt. With this policy I am proposing, hopefully this would lessen the amount of children in the foster care system and help them to lead happier, more productive lives.
