| 1553 | Elizabeth | In 10 years i have miss but only 5 Oprah show. That no more. I will never see her show again. Oprah is a RACIST and she is showing her true Color. Black. She is only looking at Obama color and not at what may be best for our great country. |
| 1554 | Anonymous | Oprah, you should be fair and have Sarah on the show if you truely have women's interest at heart. You are bias otherwise. |
| 1555 | Anonymous | |
| 1556 | jean bateman | She has proven she has made her choice by race. not by who would be best for this country,She Knows if Shara went on her show she would prove Obama in not ready to be President, |
| 1557 | Anonymous | Fair is Fair Equal Airtime for Palin! |

| 1561 | Anonymous | Well, I personally don't think Gov. Palin should be so kind to be a guest on her show, but I do want to use this as a way of showing my disgust with The Big "O". I would not want her ratings to skyrocket after her snubbing this remarkable lady!!! |
| 1562 | Greg | C'mon, Oprah - have some guts and try putting your mouth somewhere your money obviously ISN'T !!! |
| 1563 | Anonymous | I'd love to see her on Oprah's show. Oprah can ask her all the hard questions that the cowed media is too afraid to ask.
Questions about TrooperGate, and the lies about the bridge to nowhere. She can ask about Palin's beliefs regarding separation of church and state.
For her thoughts on the Iraq war, and other pertinent national and international issues. Oh, and how about what specifically she and McCain will do to solve our economic woes.
And most of all, Oprah can ask her to explain just what it is she thinks qualifies her to be the Vice President of our country. |
| 1564 | Anonymous | I 100% agree that Oprah needs to have Palin on her show! |
| 1565 | Anonymous | This will be explained but first I must say Yes to Palin being invited to an interview with Oprah on her show. That is smart television for starters.
Second politics is sweeping the nation and it isn't just working women caring about the economy, it is also some at home who would like some of that same attention and knowledge and all as the t.v drowns out screaming children and grouchy fathers demanding what kind of day they want.
What a refreshing change from all the humdrum interviews with hollywood stars and there vacations and romances in France. We'll rent the movies they made about that in fantasy, but reality aint been so kind to some of us..... Those interviews come off as big egoed high falutin to low wage working class.
Women and men at home are seriuosly tensed up about the economy in there lives more than ever.
I hear these hollywood types explain they care , but never do I see them have any talking points or even a sense of political care in there body about the state of the country.
The View is starting to get it, but thats like the first 10 minutes, then its how to make pasta or bake cookies and fuddy duddy fluff.
In essence Oprah is not only a t.v host she is also a talking point journalist the same as all the journalist throughought News telivisions history.
I put her on par with the big guy interviewers on the major news networks.
Oprah was side by side with Phil Donahue back in the day and they were more about political issues being debated back in the 1980s and it appears it has come full circle again and this is the opportune time to bring that back.
Oprah was awesome to watch as her show tipped the television talk show host kingdom in her favor, Phil Donahue it seemed just disappeared and Oprah brought a fresh take on subjects which brought the intellectual (we care about the country)crowd and not the Jerry Springer ( we care about fights)crowd. Oprah inviting more politics into her show would be a relief.
I think women are ready to really open up politically these days at the domestic level as well as the working girl level.
So yes I think it is fair and proper journalism and telvision interviewing to bring Palin as a guest to her show.
It is getting to a point aslo in politics that this red state blue state your an american if you can stand on one leg bit is getting petty.
As far as a I'm concerned why can't there be Obama for president and McCain for VP. Or vice versa. Both speak for change and non bi partisanship. How bout that.
Why do we always split up the nation voters half and half and onyl one side gets to win the top honor as sole leader. You look at the general population and we are all democrats and republicans working together and living together, even married to one another. Arnold and his wife share opposite views and are doing fine as citizens and they both help the community.
I know its unrealistic at this point in time, but if you ask most people they would probably agree that that would be a change for sure.
So back to Palin, if I held an opposite view I would still invite her to my show.
And besides I am sure there are some things Oprah would find remarkable and agreeable with Palin. Maybe they like the sma e coffe , watch the same shows, have a lugh and then talk about how we can all agree to settle our differences and fix this country.
Maybe ther is a possibiltiy that minds can change. Either that pipe dream or just don't do it at all.
Why am I up this late writing all this anyways. Actually I like both Palin and Obama both if they were running together , as its the economy stupid, that really matters. And I'm split on some of both their talking points of the matter. |
| 1566 | Anonymous | Although she should have had her on her show, I believe now if I was Sarah Palin I'd turn her down. Oprah has shown her true color. |
| 1567 | Anonymous | i dont watch oprah normally but if she was to go on there i would make it a point to watch the show. she is a wonderful woman and would love to see her speak again |
| 1568 | Amy Mannard | Oprah, very disappointed in your decision to not work a Sarah Palin interview in before the election.
You always speak of being open minded, but that is not what you are showing. Could it be you want people open minded to what you deem worthy?
Very hypocritical.
Our household will be boycotting your show until you put your personal views aside and do a show that the viewers want to see. |
| 1569 | Anonymous | Shame on you Oprah......You are showing a very nasty side of you rarely seen....Let your viewers have a fair and balanced view of both candidates and running mates....You are not that powerful that you can make this type of choice....Your ratings will show the consequences.....I think most of us thought you were above this type of BS.....Just shame on you............. |

| 1571 | Anonymous | Her popularity WAS built by white women. We will no longer support her bias. |
| 1572 | Katie McKee | Come on! Let her on the show! I'd love to hear what she can offer as our next Vice President! |
| 1573 | Anonymous | no palin on oprah..she's scary |
| 1574 | Stephanie Muse | |
| 1575 | Anonymous | Oprah, please show that you can be fair. The fans who have watched your program and made your ratings deserve your non-partisan fairness. |
| 1576 | Anonymous | IF OPRAH DOESNT WANT HER ON HER SHOW THATS HER CHOICE !!!! GO OPRAH |
| 1577 | Rita O'Rourke | In the interest of fairness! |
| 1578 | Devra Waternan | |
| 1579 | Linda | Why isnt anyone like Oprah asking Barack Hussein Obama why he would give up his church for office , although I believe he will embrace it once he is in office if he gets there, and I also believe he is still a muslim and has ties with people that scare me...I don't hear anyone talking about that..If he doesn't scare Oprah then how could Sarah Palin? |

| 1581 | Anonymous | Oprah, I must say that I lost all of the respect that I had for you when you stated that you would love to have Sarah Palin on your show, but only after the election. The Oprah Show has always been something fun and interesting for all people to watch and usually makes us feel better about ourselves. In the past, you have been extremely generous and through your generosity have changed people's lives for the better. You have done so without considering the race, religion, or political affiliation of those that you have helped. Now you feel that you must use your celebrity status to try to manipulate the election, by refusing to allow an interview to the Republican Vice President nomination, one of the hottest topics in the U.S. currently. I thought you were different than the rest of the liberal media and Hollywood celebrities, but you have shown me that I was mistaken about you all along. I can now tell that you don't view all people equally. Since you and your show are definitely biased, you can count on me to no longer watch or support The Oprah Winfrey Show, or you personally.
I regret that you have forced me to take this stance, and hope that you reach deep down within yourself and figure out that by bringing your biased views to your show you have lost at least 1 of your former supporters, and most likely many more. |

| 1583 | Anonymous | I am not white nor black but simply an american . I f you are a woman of principle then invite Miss Palin to your show. Don't let the politics poison your mind. Your are envied by a lot of women, please don't dissapoint them. |

| 1585 | Tara Mellow | Oprah should have Sarah Palin on her show as a true journalist/reporter would. Such a disappointment! |

| 1587 | Susan Mendelsohn | Yes, I want to see and hear Oprah interview Sarah
Palin. She interviewed political candidate Barak Obama and should honot equal time for a Republican and a Libertarian candidate. If Oprah doesn't invite Palin on her show before election, she will lose all credibility with me. Her many years of advice re: be your better self, don't give into personal fear, everyone deserves equal treatment,
stretch yourself out of your comfort zone, be open to other's ideas, etc. will be judt talk show bloviation if she snubs Palin. She will be reduced to a pawn of the Democratic Party and I will not watch her shows or buy any Oprah books or products. I am shocked and disappointed in Oprah. I'm also disappointed in Obama for not encouraging Oprah to look past
racial politics and invite Palin on her show. Hotwpetty, how trite, how wrong, how narrow minded, how unOprah. I now have one extra hour in my day since the Oprah show is no longer on my list and I'm really thinking about voting for Sarah Palin since even Oprah is afraid of her! Sarah must be very powerful and fearsome to make Oprah forget all she has told us to be. Shame on Oprah and Obama - I was a supporter of both, now they're just two zeros. |
| 1588 | helene rosenberg | I will never watch Oprah again. I used to be an unabashed fan watching all the time. As a former senior foreign service officer, I missed seeing many shows while overseas. Now that I am retired, I never missed her. I always read her magazine word for word. I was bowled over by her ability to get women to read almost anything. She could get women to run to the store and buy a bra, shirt, car, you name it. Amazing lady. She made race passe. She stood up for all women, empowering them to see their dreams and pursue them.
Then she refused to have Palin on the show. A veritable punch to the gut. Sarah. If she didn't exist, Oprah would have invented her. The woman who is trying to do it all. And to think she came out of the frontier state of Alaska.
Now Oprah has empowered me to show her the door. I am now determined never to watch the show again. I will never be able to check on the pulse of American women since Oprah has narrowed her audience to a base of just Obama women. And a shrinking one at that. Hilary supporters must be saying I told you so to everyone they meet. And I thoroughly agree. |
| 1589 | Kay Reeves | If ever there was a interesting and succesful woman SARAH is one of them! GO SARAH! Oh and by the way I am a democrat! |

| 1599 | Anonymous | Oprah pretends to be a women's advocate. As long as it does not interfere with her race 1st. I think that is called a racist. |
| 1600 | Cheryl Jones | I believe that the media including Oprah need to fair and balanced, she says she is. She has said Obama was on her show before he decared his run for offfice, that she doesn't want to play fair. She is so sure that she has such power. The countary wants to learn and share more about Palin. |
