Glenn Nightingale is an amazing, down to earth, dedicated music teacher who has built up a close ensemble with many students at St.Gregory's as well as other schools in Brent. The guitar ensemble is like a family for us all and Glenn has welcomed any student who wanted to join and his passion led him to expand the guitar ensemble adding drums, piano and brass. He is an inspiration to many of us and is a great role model. Glenn goes out of his way to help all of us and pushes us as any good teacher would. He helps us to explore every music genre and listens to what we have to say in reference to the music we like and what we want to play. Unlike most teachers who teach students out of books and bombard you with theory knowledge Glenn uses his personal experience, knowledge and our own interests to teach which makes the guitar nothing like work but something you love which is why he is an inspiration to us all. Glenn has toured with many famous artists and he still has the opportunity to however he still teachers because he has a passion for it. Unfortunately, a recent addition to the ensemble complained about Glenn and his professionalism has been questioned but things got blown out of proportion and he hasn't been at the school for a few weeks. The whole ensemble is devastated by this and we would appreciate it if you could sign this petition to show Glenn our support. No replacement teacher could come close to 'The Glenn' as we've all bonded with him and we will miss the time and work he's put into making the ensemble work. Not only is the ensemble aware of how dedicated Glenn is but anyone else in the school and parents would know how good of a teacher Glenn is because he helps us progress with the guitar and he encourages us when we don't believe in ourselves. I'm sure each and every one of Mr. Nightingale's students has at least gone home once and ranted about how awesome he is to their parents- this is the reason we have made this petition. Because Glenn helps to keep music a love for us over work and no other teacher could come close to him.
