SHOULDNT THE DIPLOMAS OF THE SENIORS OF THE VA TECH SHOOTING VICTIMS BE DELIVERED TO THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS?
I SAY, YES! THATS WHAT THIS PETITION IS ALL ABOUT!
The Virginia Tech shootings victims worked very hard towards obtaining their college degrees. In fact, most of the shooting victims were seniors, as the shootings occurred on the senior hall. These dedicated students faced and overcame many difficult obstacles while pursuing their desired studies at Virginia Tech. These students were innocent victims of an awful event in our Nations history. With that, I feel, the families of these dedicated seniors should receive the printed diplomas on their behalf.
If not for this tragic event, the seniors would have completed their required studies towards obtaining their formal education and printed diplomas, thereby highligting their educational accomplishments. These 32 young people lost their lives by no fault of their own and VA Tech should print and deliver their diplomas to each victims family members.
Why should all of their hard work, efforts and money spent, go unnoticed. If you had made a commitment for obtaining a life long goal, like getting your degree and some unforeseen turn of events, out of your control happened, WOULDNT you want your hard work and dedication to be remembered? Sure you would!
Even though the family members can never have their loved ones back, having their diplomas displayed in their homes is only fair to the victims. As a dedicated and long lived student myself, I understand the challenges, obstacles and sacrifices each of these victims has faced.
This petition is to get the diplomas of the seniors victims of the VA Tech shooting printed and delivered to their family members on their behalf. This petition will be delivered to the VA Tech Administration and NBC honoring of all the dedicated work exemplified by each of these innocent victims.
The petition will ONLY be open for signatures until JUNE 15, 2007. PLEASE SIGN! We need as many signatures as possible to make this happen. Thanks for your support and may God bless all of those hurt by this horrific and historical tragedy.
