We, the signatories of this petition, are Moselele; the second best ukulele band in the whole of Birmingham. That's Birmingham, UK. We have 179 members in our Facebook group and regularly attract between 15 and 35 ukulele players (the word "musician" might be a bit strong) to our twice-monthly meetings. Those members range in age between 17 and 79 with an average age in the 30s. Each year we create a new book of songs to play and this year you are honoured to have an entry in that book with a ukulele version of Shake It Off. As I'm sure you can imagine, very few of our members (if any) have a clue how Shake It Off goes. None of us would dream of buying your song and many of us use Spotify to learn new songs. We were astounded to find that your songs are not available on Spotify because you don't like the way you are paid for music streaming services. In addition, your label's assumption that yours "is arguably the most important current catalog there is" is conceited and incorrect. By not appearing on Spotify you are missing out on literally pence worth of revenue generated by Moselele members repeatedly playing your song in order to learn it. Get with the programme and take your head out of your arse - get your songs (or at least Shake It Off) back on Spotify and let us get on with learning it!
