Me and my friends hang around Queens Park a lot, and it's getting ridiculous how much incidents happen in the park. Most people I know have a nasty story about what they have experienced at Queens. Me and my friends have rung up the police on many things that have gone on in the park, but due to how dark it is there, it's very hard to find the people we have reported, as the police don't have a clue which end of the park they will exit from or if they are still lurking around in there. If it's lit up, it will also benefit people who have to walk through to get home/ walk dogs as they will be able to see if any danger is coming towards them. I think it's fair to say Queens is becoming one of the most unsafe parks in Brighton, if it isn't already. I'm aware this won't stop crime in queens completly but it's a start I guess. We are sending this off alone with a more detailed email soon . X x
