We believe there is very little legitimate reason to carry a knife in any public place or on the streets of Doncaster.
The Laws already exist to ban knives of certain types and lengths for example, but we think as a matter of common sense, common safety and decency; -
We see no reasonable or appropriate argument for carrying any knife in a public area.
It is in the power of our local elected Councillors' to create a reasonable and well-constructed Bye-Law.
We therefore respectfully call on our Mayor and elected Councillors', to vote in favour of creating a legal Bye-Law, banning the carrying of ANY knife, in public, in any part of the Borough of Doncaster.
