Dapper Laughs (Daniel O'Reilly) started out as a vine comedian (six second videos) on the Internet. His videos went viral very fast and his fame rose just as quickly and enough to get his own show on itv2, where he would help men who find it hard to "pull" and get a date well... get one. Like some sort of cheeky saucy Gok Wan he would restyle their look and teach them new confidence tricks and chat-up lines but with added adult humour even though his show was shown way after the watershed time of 9pm. I think unfairly he's been portrayed as sexist (even though he successfully helped a woman on his show get a date) and has now had his second series pulled by itv2. I'm not saying that his type of comedy or remarks are for everyone and that some of his chat up lines or "sayings" could be misconstrued as sexist, but it was all harmless fun and his vines and show were very amusing to watch. Take a look a look at Frankie Boyle (my favourite comedian) who once said about offensive comedians' audiences mocking them by saying"is that comedian joking? Is the comedian up there telling a joke? Is he serious?" OF COURSE HE'S TELLING A JOKE! It's their job, Frankie implying correctly people take things too serious, if a comedians jokes/humour isn't for you just turn over the channel. I've heard and seen a lot worse on Celebrity Juice hosted by Keith Lemon (Leigh Francis) but I love that show and that's why people tune in to watch it (probably most of the people that complained about Dapper Laughs On The Pull). I'd like to point out especially onDappers interview on Newsnight where (Ibelieve)you could tell Dapper/Daniel was unprepared and quite nervous and basicallyfed to the wolves, as the interviewer didn't seem to ask him many questions or ask for his opinion on his style of comedy, but gave him some sort of headmistress to naughty school boy dressing down, reading out comments from his show and asking him "what he thought of them? And looking back now what does he think". Comedians make people laugh, it's what they do. You can't make the whole world laugh and because a few found his style of comedy offensive he's lost his career?I believe Dapper Laughs (Daniel O'Reilly) has been made a scapegoat by the media, and people need to lighten up and realise they don't have to watch him or other comedians if they find their comedy isn't to their liking.
