Charter Communications has been useless in Dare County, NC. The service they provide sucks. It constantly goes out and when you call their Tech -Support Department, they would rather blame the issues on the customers' television and computers, instead of listening to the issues at hand and/or accept the report of an area outage. They over charge for really bad services. Their cable service goes out more often than it works but yet, they refuse to refund or acknowledge the inconvenience they cause to their customers. They have terrible customer service skills. When a customer calls to report an outage, make a payment, or to just inquire about their bill - the agents are rude and act as though WE are bothering them. They continuously harass their customers for NON-late bills by sending repeated emails and blocking Internet and DVR services two or more weeks before the bills are actually due. The Nags Head office personnel do not properly communicate with the foreign offices located in India, Japan, Russia, Africa, Egypt, and England. The records of each of these offices DO NOT match. They claim a particular amount on a bill, but by the time the bills are printed and sent out on the 16th of each month, it is MUCH MORE than what they originally quoted you. Charter Communications is rude, disrespectful and NOT properly run. We need and deserve a more respectable and reliable cable company to service Dare County, NC.
