I am writing to you on behalf of the entire Australian CrossFit Community. We would like to request that you consider allowing Ben Garard to compete at The CrossFit Australian Regionals 2013 as a 49th athlete. Due to his ineligibility to qualify, our aim is to show you that our community supports him and believes that he should be a part of our Region's showing on the world stage. We do not wish to overturn your decision, and we respect your responsibility to maintain the standards of the Open competition. However we believe that without Ben Garard, Regionals would be an incomplete test to find the Fittest in Australia.The people who have signed below know Ben as a CrossFitter, a friend, and a trainer. They compete against him, know him personally, and respect him as a person and an athlete. We are not asking that you grant him special consideration in the decision you have already made, we are simply asking that you help us to see our Australian Regionals as a true show of the fittest we have; and to do this, we must be able show our best athletes. We thankyou sincerely for considering our request. We hope that this showing of support from so many members of our CrossFitting community can help you see that Ben Garard would be a fantastic addition to our Australian Regionals and that we truly believe he should be there to prove himself, as others will have the chance to.
