RE: BELLYFLOP Magazine's future
BELLYFLOP is an unfunded endeavour, the work of a team of independent dance artists who seek to enliven honest, critical and enthusiastic debate about contemporary dance as part of a vivid and healthy arts ecology. BELLYFLOP has demonstrable successes, with venues using quotes from our reviews and artists asking us to feature their work, as well as the participation of a community through guest blogging, comments on features and reviews and the circulation of our writings widely.
We love doing this. But we are non-rich, working people, and BELLYFLOP costs to run, not least in our time. We are taking a break to work out how to continue what appears to be a vital resource for our field.
In the meantime we would like to ask you to sign our petition to bring back BELLYFLOP.
