We appreciate EVERY fundraiser that helps the Obama campaign. However, the typical Georgian does not have a spare (or last-minute) $2300.00 for a ticket! Okay, EVERY ticket is not $2300.00, but you get the point! Georgia For Obama, A Meetup.com/Grassroots Organization has petitioned the Obama Finance & Scheduling Committees for an Official Fundraiser and Appearance. Until now, there has been no response. The purpose of this petition is to make the committees aware of how much we desire to participate. Our hope is that a dialogue will be opened immediately and the event proposed by Georgia For Obama will be green-lighted. Please join us on this petition. The silence from the finance committee is growing louder but we are not going anywhere. Our desire to be part of this movement is not defined by the size of a checkbook. We are keeping the pressure on until they give us a seat at the table.

The momentum we are building right now proves that Georgia voters are ready to be seen and heard by the campaign. People are finally starting to listen because we refuse to be invisible just because we cannot afford a high-priced ticket.

Regular people deserve a chance to be part of this too. Not everyone has thousands just lying around to pay for a dinner.
