Although the thought of having days off is appealing, realistically is it really right that we are paying £3,000 for so little contact time, with some students only having 5 or 6 hours a week, whilst students on other courses at the university having considerably more contact time then this. Also for potential future students who may have to pay potentially upto £9,000 a year, is 5 or 6 hours of contact time value for money?! How is it right that 20 credit module has the same amount of contact time as a 10 credit module. GeogSoc are asking you to support this petition so that we can help get more contact time, whether it be through lectures, seminars or other means so you can receive more opportunity to understand content and help you achieve a better degree.
