Comments: I remember writing a similar petition to President Clinton. I am amazed that we are still signing the same petition almost two decades later.

Comments: I recently attended an "Obama house party" in my neighbhorhood, and several people brought up the concern that the infrastructure projects would provide jobs primarily to men.

Comments: I have been a therapist for 30 years and an assistant professor for 4 years. Under the Indiana Managed Care Program, African American families and children in need of counseling services, are hurting badly. As an African American woman, we desperately need your support in social services in support of educational and family enpowerment. I am avid Obama supporter and I believe and trust that you will do all that you can to help those who have been left behind. I wish you and your family a very blessed holiday. C. Joann Beathea, Ph.D., L.C.S.W., M.S.W.

Comments: Indeed, without childcare and afterschool programs and affordable health care, job opportunities will remain a tantalizing bunch of fruit hanging out of the reach of most women, who still shoulder most of the domestic duties even in partnered households.
